SUPPORTING STUDENTS,
STRENGTHENING NEPAL

The nonprofit, Brain Gain movement: supporting students abroad and developing Nepal's Human Resources.

BRAIN GAIN, NOT BRAIN DRAIN

STUDENT ADVOCACY SERVICES

Student Advocacy Services provide structured, non-steering support after students have chosen their university — helping them prepare for transition, adjustment, and continuity.

Too many students are guided through opaque, commission-driven systems that prioritize outcomes over preparation.

The Problem:

The Result:

  • Unrealistic expectations

  • Academic and emotional stress

  • Family confusion

  • Dropouts and disengagement

  • Eroded trust between universities and local markets

Our Approach:

Student Advocacy framework focuses:

  • Decision literacy

  • Academic and cultural readiness

  • Transparent processes

  • Long-term continuity of support

Students are prepared—not sold.

A Message from our Co-Founder:

Dear Friends and Family,

I wanted to share, simply, what I’m building and why it matters to me.

We're launching a small, carefully designed program to support Nepali students before they leave, during the transition, and just after they arrive abroad—without recruitment, admissions advice, or promises of outcomes. Once paid support ends, the Foundation continues only in a non-commercial, responsibility-based way, so students are not left alone at the hardest moment.

This work is also about Brain Gain. Over time, the goal is to help turn international education into something that strengthens Nepal—by supporting long-term connection, future return pathways, and human resource development when the system is ready. These programs will come later, carefully and responsibly.

Your support through Alom Dee, once we begin fundraising,  will help ensure this is done ethically and transparently. It does not influence admissions or visas, and it does not guarantee individual outcomes. It helps build something meaningful for students and for Nepal.

Thank you for trusting me and for helping me do this the right way.

With gratitude,
Anthony
